Announcing an Association-wide Responsibility Initiative

“Leading Together” effort encourages positive role modeling

As part of a collaboration among the Student Leadership Team, the NIRSA Board of Directors, and the Responsibility Initiative Work Team, a new “Leading Together” campaign aims to call attention to the issues of professionalism, responsible decision-making, and positive role-modeling.

The most visible element of the campaign will be introduced at the 2008 Annual Conference & Recreational Sports Exposition in Austin, Texas, April 2-5. All attendees will be invited to sign a special pledge banner, which reads:

Everyone signing the banner will receive an embroidered blue ribbon to affix to their Conference name badge.

For more information on the Responsibility Initiative and the other efforts being made on this front, please see the Leadership Notes by President Tom Kirch and National Student Representative Diane Sylofski in this issue of the NIRSA Know.
