In a few short weeks, thousands of attendees will gather in Austin for the NIRSA Annual Conference & Recreational Sports Exposition. The Opening General Session is Wednesday, April 2 at 4:00pm in the Austin Convention Center and will include Dr. Joe Martin speaking on “Give and Grow Rich.”

Immediately following this opening session, join your colleagues for the first social of the Conference, held directly across the street at the Hilton Austin Grand Ballroom. The Taste of Texas Welcome Dinner and Social will feature three types of Texas food: Tex Mex, barbecue, and Southern. Attendees can choose to taste any or all of these foods, as multiple serving stations will be located throughout the ballroom. Seth Walker, a gifted singer, songwriter and blues guitarist who describes his music as “a different point of blue,” will perform at 6:15pm.

Whether you are playing in the NIRSA Foundation Golf Tournament, attending a pre-conference workshop/trip or traveling to Austin on Wednesday, The Taste of Texas Welcome Social and Dinner will be a great place to reconnect with friends and enjoy some great food and music! Mondo and UT RecSports are contributing sponsors to this event.

Immediately following the Welcome Social and Dinner, The Live Music Capital of the World After Party, sponsored by Life Fitness, will be held at Buffalo Billiards.
