NIRSA Members will present at inaugural Learning Reconsidered Institute

Early registration ends May 4 for this first-ever opportunity in St. Louis

NIRSA, as a partner with the Student Affairs in Higher Education Consortium (SAHEC), is proud to co-sponsor the inaugural Learning Reconsidered Institute, to be held June 6-7, 2007 in St. Louis, Missouri. The Learning Reconsidered publications have reshaped the way higher education and student affairs educators look at our work with students. The Learning Reconsidered Institute has been created to help student affairs educators implement the concepts described in the publications and learn from each other. Early registration ends May 4.

NIRSA Members Scott Levin, Georgia State University and Kathleen Hatch, Washington State University, will be representing NIRSA at the event.

Scott’s presentation, “Student Learning Outcomes in Campus Recreation,” will be co-presented with Learning Reconsidered publications editor and keynote speaker Richard Keeling. It was well received at the recent ACPA/NASPA joint meeting in Orlando.

Kathleen’s presentation is titled “The Synergy of Collaboration at Washington State University: Communication in Human Relations.” Co-presenters are Troy Robey, Coordinator of Academic Programs at the Center for Civic Engagement at WSU, and Francis Morgan-Gallo, Coordinator of WSU’s Challenge Program.

The complete schedule and registration details are available online. To receive the discounted member rate: Click on “Non-NASPA Members.” On the registration page, complete the information and indicate that you are a NIRSA Member.

Learning Reconsidered 2, co-published by NIRSA and its SAHEC partners in 2006, is available from the NIRSA Education & Publication Center.
