How much do recreational sports professionals earn?

NIRSA is asking this question of members with the 2007 Salary Census

On January 26, nearly 800 Institutional Member Directors or other Professional Members received an invitation to participate in NIRSA’s biennial salary census. Results of this study are targeted to be available prior to the 2007 Annual Conference in Minneapolis and will represent thousands of salaries in our field, compared by position, university size, department size, and other factors that may affect salaries.

The NIRSA Salary Census continues to be the most comprehensive source of salary information within the recreational sports industry. To make the data useful and meaningful to all members, we need as many of the surveys returned as possible. Confidentiality is assured because individual and institutional information will be reported in the aggregate form only. A list of institutions completing the survey will be made available, but no institution or individual will be identified with the data they provided. If you received an email invitation and have not yet completed the survey, please take the time to do so. Those completing the 2007 Salary Census by the February 15 deadline will be rewarded with a first look at the results via email as soon as they become available.

If you have questions about the 2007 Salary Census, contact Katherine Otten at the NIRSA National Center, 541-766-8211 x14.
