Softball Clinician's Kit available; Flag Football DVD to begin production
Updated Softball Clinician's Kit has it all!
The 2006 Softball Clinician’s Kit is now available from the NIRSA Education & Publication Center. The updated kit contains the recently released 2006 & 2007 NIRSA Slow Pitch Softball Rules Book, the recently released NIRSA Softball Umpires' Mechanics DVD, as well as the standard curriculum text, level I and II exams, and transparencies.
New flag football DVD in the works
Filming for a new Flag Football Officials' Training DVD will take place in late March at the University of Central Florida. Flag Football Committee chair Steve Rey, CRSS, from Western Kentucky University and Kurt Klier, CRSS, from the University of Maryland will oversee the filming by Human Kinetics.
NIRSA currently offers three flag football videos: NIRSA Flag Football Rules (produced in 1995), Officials’ Mechanics (1989), and Penalty Enforcement (1993). Scripts have been revised to combine all three of the previous videos into one updated, menu-driven DVD, which should be available for the fall 2006 flag football season!
