15th Annual Emerging Recreational Sports Leaders Conference in Atlanta

ERSLThe 2006 ERSL Conference is February 17-18 at Clark Atlanta University in Atlanta, Georgia. The theme is "Preparing for Tomorrow, Today" and will focus on preparing student leaders and young professionals to take on the task of guiding others to live, work and play in a multicultural society.

This conference will serve as an opportunity for students to discuss issues with peers from all of NIRSA.

The conference has two goals:

  1. To renew and foster relations with HBCUs (Historically Black Colleges and Universities) and student leaders who consider recreational sports a viable career choice.
  2. To provide an opportunity for students to acquire the right set of tools to make a difference in the lives of others.

The ERSL Conference was created to provide a forum for information exchange, education, discussion, critical communication and positive dialogue for those interested in the field. The conference was the vision of Mike Dunn, then Director of Recreational Sports, Southern Illinois University and the National Intramural-Recreational Sports Association.

For more information and registration forms go to the ERSL Conference Web site.
