Intramural Officials' Training Materials available on the NEC Site

If you haven't already purchased your training materials for the fall seasons of Flag Football, Soccer and/or Volleyball, you still have time. All of the clinician kits have been updated, and the 2005 & 2006 NIRSA Flag and Touch Football Rules Book and Officials' Manual (12th edition) was published in April. Visit the NIRSA Education Center for information.

Are you tired of using outdated basketball and softball training videos? A new "Basketball Officials' Training" DVD will be released in early October. Filming took place this summer in Florida under the purview of the NIRSA Basketball Committee along with the expertise of the Human Kinetics production crew. In addition, in January of 2006 you will see the release of the NIRSA "Softball Umpire Mechanics" DVD. In conjunction with the softball DVD, NIRSA's first Slow Pitch Softball Rule Book will also be published in January. The rulebook and DVD are products of the NIRSA Softball Committee's diligent work over the last two or three years, and came to fruition under the guidance of Human Kinetics.

Don't forget that the Floor Hockey Rules and Officials' Manual and the Floor Hockey Clinician Kit are available for downloading from the NIRSA Web site. They can be found in the Members Only Section in Intramural Event Rules.
