Professional Registry Survey on its Way!

At the June 21-24 NIRSA Summer Meeting held in Corvallis, OR, NIRSA National Center, the Board of Directors charged the Professional Registry Work Team to move forward with gathering Member feedback. Over the years, NIRSA has actively encouraged professional development in our field. In July 2002, NIRSA formed the Professional Registry Work Team to examine a registry and consider whether it would have value for NIRSA. After agreeing on its benefits to Members, the work team developed a proposal to implement a professional registry for NIRSA. It has been revised after numerous conference calls and after receiving Member feedback at the 2004 Annual Conference.

At this stage, it is crucial for Members to review the proposal and take the survey. The proposal and survey links will be sent on Friday, July 15, 2005, to all Professional and Student Members. Your input will help move the professional registry in the direction that is best for NIRSA Members.
